Job Description

Manage and organize daily tour schedule. Create efficient seating arrangements on each carriage as guests sign up for tours. Greet guests as they enter the barn and answer questions pertaining to their visit. Keep tour guides informed of their schedules throughout the day, and optimize the number of guests to whom we can give tours.

Qualifications

Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and able to handle high customer traffic during peak times. Deliver an amazing customer experience. Able to multitask, problem-solve, and work well as part of a team. Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per day.

Sales Associate

Job Description

Advertise our tours to potential customers, sign them up for tours, and sell them a ticket. Answer questions pertaining to Charleston and the carriage industry, and serve as a friendly representative to Palmetto Carriage.

Qualifications

Must be outgoing, great with people and an easygoing conversationalist. Enjoy meeting new people, deliver an amazing customer experience. Able to perform simple math and able to handle high customer traffic during peak times. Able to stand for up to 12 hours per day and work in a team environment. Must be able to maintain a courteous and professional attitude at all times.

Tour Guide/Carriage Operator

Job Description

Craft and perform historically accurate tours of the city of Charleston. Greet guests, answer questions pertaining to Charleston’s history, and recommend activities/restaurants. Safely drive carriages pulled by 1-2 horses, and correctly navigate the city.

Qualifications

Successfully obtain City of Charleston tour guide license (training is provided if you don’t already have your license). Must be articulate and friendly. Must be a team player and have a passion for informing and entertaining Charleston’s visitors. Enjoy meeting new people, informing them about Charleston, and exhibiting excellent customer service. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to maintain a courteous and professional attitude at all times.

Barn Hand

Job Description

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, be comfortable around large animals, and be able to enter data into an iPad. Must be team-oriented but also able to complete tasks individually. Must be available on weekends and holidays and have reliable transportation to be at work on time.
