Charleston Festivals & Attractions | Fall 2024

Time to start buying your Simmered Cider scented candles; Fall in Charleston is right around the corner. When the weather starts cooling off, the number of things to do in town is seemingly endless. From brand new festivals to tried and true events from years’ past, we have no doubt that tourists and locals alike will be intrigued by the goings on in Charleston, SC. 

  1. Food and Wine Classic

The first annual Food and Wine Classic, presented by Explore Charleston along with Food + Wine, Travel + Leisure, and Southern Living, is sure to kick off Fall in Charleston the right way. Whether participants choose to purchase the passholder package, which includes several different events throughout the festival, or if they buy tickets to single events only, there is certainly something for everyone to enjoy. Currently, ticket sales are only available for passholders, and pricing is set to increase at the end of July. So if the festival experience is something you don’t want to miss, be sure to purchase your tickets soon!

  1. Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

A classic event that we look forward to year after year, the Pumpkin Patch at Boone Hall offers fall-themed activities for visitors of all ages. From a family-friendly Haunted Hay Ride to pony rides, face painting, sweet treats and more, this event is a favorite amongst families in and around the Charleston area. Don’t forget to buy your pumpkins while you’re there visiting! The pumpkin patch has pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase.   1. Riverfront Revival

For the music enthusiast, Riverfront Revival is a two day festival happening at beautiful Riverfront Park in North Charleston. The event has been curated by a Charleston local and musician, Darius Rucker. The weekend features live music from well-known musicians from far and wide, including the headliner Hootie & the Blowfish, as well as good local food and drinks. Proceeds from the event will benefit MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. Take a look at the ticket availability as they are going fast. Click here for more information.

  1.  The MOJA Arts Festival

Charleston’s annual celebration of Black arts and culture, the MOJA Arts Festival is one not to miss. MOJA offers a wide range of events, including visual arts, classical music, dance, gospel, jazz, poetry, R&B, theatrical performances, and more. Each of the festival’s events happens at a specified Downtown Charleston venue. Events are spread out between September 26 – October 6, 2024.   1. The Fall Tours by Charleston Preservation Society

Calling all history buffs! This year from October 9 – November 2, 2024, the Charleston Preservation Society will once again put on its annual Fall Tours event, featuring an inside look into Charleston’s unique architectural and cultural heritage. Join a historian, architect or scholar as they guide you through some of Charleston’s most distinguished homes, gardens and architecture.
